When I was a cute, little newlywed I decided I was going to make my own cookbook with all of my family recipes in it--so that "other people (like Bruce and my kids--when I have any) could make them [the family recipes] too."
That's the opening line to my printed cookbook (which is not for sale in a store near you, although that would be nice for me), which I have been working on . . . well, since I was a cute, little newlywed. My tastes have evolved a little since then, as well as my cooking skills. But my family has tried each recipe and at least two of us really like each one [I gave up on trying to find something that all ten enjoy].
Some of "my" recipes were invented by other members of my family. Some are recipes I got from my family, but they got them somewhere else; these will usually have the name of the family member I got them from. Some are from friends. I got some good recipes from magazines or the newspaper; and some have been shamelessly stolen from other cookbooks. (Although I usually don't follow recipes exactly, so with the minimal changes perhaps they actually are my recipes [hehehe!].
After posting a couple of recipes on my other blog, Loralee's Fancy, I decided it would make more sense just to have a link to my recipes. So if you want to try something new I'll try to post one or two recipes a week here; maybe you'll find something you like.
Enjoy!
Recipe Requests?
If you'd like me to post a recipe for something in particular, leave a comment on the latest post and I'll see if I can oblige. :-)
