AUNT MARIAN'S SUGAR COOKIES
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
½ tsp. vanilla
2¼ cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. nutmegHeat oven to 375°. Cream butter, sugar and egg. In a small bowl, mix milk and vanilla together. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternately with milk beginning and ending with dry stuff [add ¾ cup dry stuff, then 1 Tbsp. milk, etc.]. Mix thoroughly. Chill at least one hour. Roll out on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheets for 8-9 minutes (cookies will appear white when they’re done). Cool and frost as desired.

So, my roommate wanted to make dinosaur shaped cookies. So we made this recipe. It makes about 2 dozen cookies. Remember that sandwhich cutter we have? That's about the same size as what we used. :)
